He began his legal career as an associate at a prestigious San Francisco law firm handling a number of high profile transactional and litigation
matters including mergers and acquisitions, investment fund formation and secured transactions. James joined The Cochran Firm – California in 2014, establishing the firm’s entertainment and business division. He has obtained numerous dismissals and nearly $20 million in jury verdicts, arbitration awards and settlements on behalf of his clients in both state and federal courts. James has also been engaged in negotiating a total of more than $1 billion in business transactions.
